Implicit Bias Community Training – An Introduction to the Basics

Description: Join Mindbridge’s Implicit Bias Educators, Julisa De Los Santos and Katie Beane, for an introduction to the neuropsychology of implicit bias and the ways in which it is actualized on a day-to-day basis. This 2-hour community training is designed to capitalize on neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to change over time) to mitigate bias and discriminatory behavior. It will provide a foundational understanding of implicit bias, while offering an opportunity to explore topics related to personal identity and social experience, as well as questions of structural and institutional change. All are welcome. Participants are asked to make a sliding scale donation ($30 suggested, but no one will be excluded due to lack of funds). All proceeds will support Mindbridge’s work to eliminate racism and discrimination.
